My name is Justin Downs, (website name=

I am 22 years old and currently live in Lothian Maryland. I Spend 90+ days a year chasing waterfowl all over the Atlantic flyway. I began hunting geese and ducks at the young age of 6 with my father on Maryland's eastern shore. From the moment I set foot in the goose pit I knew this is what I wanted to spend my life doing. In 2004 I became a volunteer firefighter in Calvert County Maryland. In the future I hope to pursue a career as a firefighter and in the waterfowl hunting industry. Along with pro-staffing for FF Waterfowl, I am also the East Coast representative for Tim Grounds championship Calls, East Coast Representative for Molt Gear, and a Drake Waterfowl Field Expert.

Hello my name is Jody Osterhout.(website name= JODY OSTERHOUT)

I was born in a small town in Idaho. I grew up and still live in Declo Idaho, population of 300. I was born in 1960 in Burley Idaho. My father was an avid outdoorsman. He taught me many things about the great outdoors. He was my mentor and outdoors partner for many years; he passed at the early age of 57. And I thank him for introducing me into the world of hunting and fishing.

I am married to a lovely woman from Montana. (which helps) She grew up in the outdoor world as well. Her father is a guide in the great state of Montana. I have 3 great children. Two boys, Brody who is 20 and Taylor who is 16. One girl, Rayanne and she is 7. They are my world and I have also introduced them into the hunting world. We are avid in the outdoors; Brody is the 2nd youngest in the state to take a moose with a bow. At 14 he shot a 30 inch Bull Moose. We hunt everything from ground squirrels to moose. Our passion is goose hunting. During goose season we hit it every weekend and a couple days a week. We live in the heart of goose central! We live in the middle of 3 refuges that draw the geese to our corner of the state.

I am employed with the oldest Ford Mercury dealer in Idaho; I have been with Goode Motor for 14 years. I am in the sales end of it. I am a Dakota Decoy Xtream Elite member, Bullock Outdoors Team member and also a Pro Staffer for Heavey Hauler outdoor Gear.

Hello my name is Rob Lund. (website name= FIREDUCK)

I’m 33 years olds, and currently live in Clinton, Indiana. I’m employed at Riley Fire Department as a Division Chief of training. I have been in the fire service for the past twelve years. I started hunting at the young age of 10 and have never stopped. I’m an avid outdoors man, from rabbits, deer to waterfowl. My passion is chasing waterfowl, watching puddle ducks cup their wings and bank back & forth and twist and watch them light into the decoys.

I’m married to wonderful lady who loves the outdoors just as much as me. I have 4 children (three girls and one son). I’m currently involved with Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl and so is my son. I look forward to getting my girls involved too!

My passion is to pass on to children my love for the outdoors. Teaching them that this world and the outdoors are here for us to enjoy. This is truly God’s country. Kids are the future of the outdoors. It’s up to us to pass it on to them.

I also run a taxidermy studio that I started in 2007. The name of my shop is Wild Wings & Beards Taxidermy since I currently specialize in birds. My love of waterfowl led me to taxidermy because I enjoy bringing back the wonderful memories that someone has experienced while hunting in the hopes they will be able to share it with others.

Evan Ferns, (website name=EVAN FERNS)

20, Lives in Klamath Falls, OR. Living my entire life in Southern Oregon has given me a wide variety of game to hunt, from Roosevelt Elk in the Cascade Mountains, to Waterfowl in the Klamath Basin, to Coyotes in the deserts of South East Oregon. Even though I enjoy all types of hunting, I'd have to say my favorite is laying out in a wheat field in the Avery Ground Force blind surrounded by GHG Full Body FFD Lesser's and hammer' in down on the Money Maker or the Little Man! I can normally be found following the waterfowl migration from the early September Season, through the Late Season Conservation hunt in March for Specks with my #1 hunting buddy, Avery- 3 Y/O Black Lab. I graduated from Henley High School in 2007, and currently working for the local Hospital as an Aide, and also as a Fire Fighter. I recently finished school for my EMT-Basic Certification, and have plans of getting a degree in EMT-Paramedics. Having grown up in the Fire/EMS industry, because of my parents it has been almost clockwork to follow in their footsteps. When I'm not out chasing birds, or working with Avery, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible, whether it's riding my horses, or camping by a remote wilderness lake, or giving tips to younger kids on their calling techniques. I'm also a member of the Zink Pro-Staff, and to be part of such a wonderful waterfowl family has been a dream come true. I also enjoy spending time teaching others how to get more involved in the waterfowl world through Land Conservation. I honestly believe that the next generation of hunters is the key to keeping the sport of hunting alive!

I started hunting with my dad when I was 6 following him out in the fields hunting pheasants. I won my first shot gun when I was 9 at a Ducks Unlimited banquet and have been hunting ever since. I now am a firefighter in South West Kansas and enjoy hunting and scouting birds on my days off. When I'm not at work I am in a field with my wife and friends either calling in ducks and geese or chasing roosters.

waterfowl hunting is my passion there is nothing like having hundreds of birds coming in cupped and commited and hearing the words "take em" when they are right in your face. I hunt from August to may and in the off season I'm scouting, practicing my calling, and helping with youth events and 4-H shooting. I am looking forward to many hunting seasons and posting lots of pictures on the fowl fighters forum.
