i have a life safety side and a tool side. I carry a rescue strap, flashlight, cutters in my right side pocket and i have screwdrivers, pliers, hose rope tool, spanner, extracation gloves all in my leftside pocket. its a great idea to set up your bunkers in that manner and always keep it that way. if you keep it that way always you never have to think " oh which pocket is that in ".

I only carry tools in my right pocket.  I have a screw driver with different size tips and can aslo be used for 1/4" nuts (works great for HVAC units), channel locks, needle nose vice grips, shove knife, 2 hose straps with caribiners, and trauma shears (which also workgreat for cutting wires in ceiling colapse and etanglements).  For life safety my department gives us bailout belts to wear, which are awesome.  They consist of 50' sterling firetech 32 rope, crosby hook, CMC escape artist, caribiner, and a yates belt.  These are awesome devices, definately lifesavers.
