The City of Monroe is accepting applications for the full-time position of Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT.  For a complete Job Description click here. 
Applications may be obtained Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Monroe City Building, 233 South Main Street, Monroe, Ohio or www.monroeohio.org.  Completed applications must be returned no later than Monday, May 14, 2012 at 5 pm E.S.T.  All applications must be accompanied by a non-returnable $10.00 testing fee.  Checks are to be made payable to the �City of Monroe�.  Details about the written examination will accompany the application forms.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age on or before the date of the written examination and no person may apply for or receive an original appointment if that person has attained the age of 35.  All applicants must have a valid Ohio driver�s license, possess a high school diploma or equivalency (GED), 240 or equivalent Professional Firefighter Certification, and current Ohio EMT or Paramedic Certification.  Documentation must be submitted with the application.  Testing date is 05/19/12. Salary is $37,627.12 to 56,452.68.  The City of Monroe is an equal opportunity employer.
